Welcome to MFI Electronics!

MFI incorporated in 1988, a little more than a year after the 1986 market crash that lead to one of the country’s deepest post-WWII recessions. Then, as now, we were a small company working to survive in an uncertain market. Then, as now, we had the advantage of being specialized, relatively small and able to respond quickly to customer needs and market opportunities. We have maintained our presence through the years in a much larger — if shrinking — market, where market share has grown both through increased revenues, and by annual sales relative to the TAM.
These days, it seems, companies are taking advantage of the downturn to take a breath, rethink what they’re doing and determine where their R&D funding is going to be most well spent. We find more and more companies are actually starting new development programs, many of which will turn into products ready for market when the economy turns around.
The skies remain cloudy; markets have damaged lives in some case beyond repair. But for those who can hang in, there’s still the promise that ingenuity and hard work will carry us forward. So, with that bit of philosophy, welcome to the MFI blog where you’ll find regular updates on new products, new principals, application notes and more, including feedback we hope will be of use to you and your colleagues in the engineering, R&D and supply chain communities.
As always, we will do our best to address your questions and comments about our products, the MFI web site, this blog, or even why your dog is losing her hair.
Thanks for reading.
